THE KINDNESS NINJAS

Our Kindergarten learners decided to secretly complete acts of kindness around our school to promote their peers in higher grades to do the same!

Online Kindergarten Learning

To provide our students with choice while learning from home, we started using Choice Boards to allow our learners the opportunity to pick 5 tasks to complete each week. We really wanted to highlight the idea of connection within our students' homes, and the tasks are centered around collaboration as well as being outside and exploring their communities!

KINDERGARTEN SENSE OF SMELL STEM LESSON

As a part of the Kindergarten Program Statement, we wanted students to have the opportunity to explore their sense of smell, and they looked at smells that were sour, sweet, fruity, and bitter so that they grasped some new vocabulary and got hands-on experience with those smells. They matched two of the same smells in different coloured bottles, and were surprised at how challenging it was to match different scents!
