Applying Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit

As part of my Professional Learning, I have worked to understand my role in engaging Aboriginal youth and students in my classroom, which embodies the indicator "supporting student achievement by engaging in collaborative, whole school approaches to capacity building in First Nations, Métis and Inuit education," and I feel that the artifact on the right shows how I have brought Indigenous education into part of my professional learning.

The artifact below is a project where I worked to understand if a classroom resource was an accurate and legitimate resource that could be used in a classroom in a way that was honouring Indigenous perspectives.
