Establishing Inclusive Learning Environments

The artifacts to the left and below this text both depict learning and emotional needs that students have shown and I have responded to. On the left, the artifact depicts "being aware of and facilitating responses to the emotional and mental health needs of students," as I noticed that one of my students was experiencing sensory overload on the carpet during sharing, so we provided him with noise-cancelling headphones to help regulate noise. 

The artifact below depicts and learning experience where I allowed students to share their learning and understanding using a microphone if they weren't comfortable drawing and printing. This embodies the indicator of "using appropriate universal and targeted strategies and supports to address students’ strengths, learning challenges and areas for growth."
